In Factorio, there seems to be a lot of confusion when it comes down to repairing buildings, walls, constructions, and similar. For one reason or another, players can’t repair their stuff.

Nevertheless, today we will cover everything you need to know about repairing in Factorio, as well as how to do it, so you don’t need to worry about your buildings losing all of their durability.

How to Repair – Factorio

To repair in Factorio, players must use repair packs to do so. These are crafting items, and you can easily get them, without spending a fortune in resources.

There are absolutely crucial to your gameplay, so you must learn how to use them accordingly. If you can’t find repair pack in your game, then you might be using an older version of the game.

At the time of writing, the newest update is quite stable, so I would suggest that you update your game, to get other features as well!

Where to Get Repair Packs?

To get repair packs, you will need to craft them. You can craft repair packs on the following:

  • Assembling Machine 1
  • Assembling Machine 2
  • Assembling Machine 3
  • Manual Crafting

As I said before, if you are playing an older version of the game, you might not find the repair packs at these machines. They were introduced in patch 0.8.0.

After that patch they revisited them and tweaked them a little, and also changed their icon as well. So, if you are looking at pictures from a repair pack, it might be different to your game.

How to Use Repair Packs?

These can be used by a player or a construction robot. To use it, use your left-click and then select the building that you want to repair.

Recipe:

If you want to craft them, you will need the following materials:

  • Time: 0.5
  • Electronic Circuit x2
  • Iron Gear Wheel x2

In raw materials, that would translate to:

  • Time: 4
  • Copper Plate x3
  • Iron Plate x6

Their maximum stack size is 100, so if you want you can make a few more in order to have one ready for most of the time.

They will heal 300 building health! It’s absolutely crucial that you use these to preserve your buildings and constructions.
